[ Hello, Johto, you've received another new face! ... Er, one that looks pretty bewildered and more concerned than anything. She's not even aware that the Azurill she'd received is filming her, but Aqua does what Aqua does best: She gets information. Aqua makes her way around the town, doing her best to gather information. All the while, the Azurill is filming her... though, honestly, the camera's a little shaky. Um. More than "a little" shaky, because she's holding the camera with her feet.

... That sure is a thing that's happening. But she's trying, and that's what matters.

Several minutes pass before Aqua realizes her Azurill is filming her. ]

Oh! [ She kneels down next to the little one, smiling fondly (somehow, she notes to herself, because she's still getting used to the whole "not being trapped in the realm of darkness" thing). It's hard not to be in good spirits with such a cute critter, after all. ]

Can everyone see this? I've never encountered a device like this, but it doesn't seem too difficult to work.

Hello. My name is Aqua, and I've just arrived. [ ... ] I don't suppose I could easily find some sort of food for my friend, here. She does seem very hungry.

[ And sure enough, yup, that's the sound of the Azurill's tummy growling. At least she looks embarrassed about it. ]

Yes. I'm part of the 'elite' club of being here a year or more.

[She nods at that. There's a sudden shudder from the pink haired woman as she drops the gear. The culprits seems to be a gooey creature trying to get her attention.]

C-Cid! Knock it off!

[shotlocking]

[ ... She just keeps running into surprises. ]

If there's a club, I imagine there are a lot of you.

[ ... uh. An alarmed look crosses Aqua's face. ]

--Are you alright?

Some as long as five years.

[It's with a sigh that she takes the creature off of her. Is that a trail of slime on her leg...? Someone else seems to be controlling the camera now as it floats up.]

I'm fine. When you get to the point of having as many Pokémon as I do, you're bound to get some that act like little brats.

[shotlocking]

[ That's.... that's a little... ]

You seem to be dealing well with them.

[This is by far some of the tamest things she's been covered in... don't ask.]

It takes patience... your Azurill can't swim all too well. The oil in the small ball on it's tail with keep it floating on it's own, so no worries about drowning. It might take a while for it to evolve.

[shotlocking]

I'll keep her out of the water, just in case. [ She pats the Azurill's head with a smile. ] I won't have any trouble being patient with her.

[bylight]

Azurill are friendship evolution Pokémon. I think she'll be in fine hands with you. [You seem like the friendly type.]

[shotlocking]

[ Oh! ]

That's perfect, actually. I am surprised I received a Pokémon that suits me, though.

[bylight]

To some extent everyone does. I... [It's still a sore spot with her.] received and electric sheep called a Mareep.

[ ... Yeah, she notes that, but she's too polite to draw attention to it. ]

--An electric sheep? I've encountered some strange creatures, but nothing nearly as cute.

[You can ask, and all Light will do is complain about her wooly little charge... well, not so little anymore.]

Trying to eat everything in my bag and destroying a map is not cute.

[ Oh, dear. ]

Surely they can't all be that rambunctious.

No. I've only had a few troublemakers since then.

[Like the Vulpix that set her bike on fire.]

With training they manage to calm down.

Do you need anything sent your way? It takes about three days to make your way to Cherrygrove from New Bark. That bento won't last very long.

[ Yes. That is her Azurill's nickname. Come on she's still technically a teenager. ]

[A rather large bird looks over Lightning's shoulder, watching Aqua intently.]

Dahaka here will find you.

[shotlocking]

[ She's... getting a lot more help than she'd expected, wow. ]

That's very kind of you. I'll stay where I am and watch for Dahaka, then.

[Letting out something like a chirp, Dahaka moves off screen for now.]

You're one of the lucky ones who got here during good weather.

I've noticed--I couldn't have asked for a more lovely time to arrive.

[ Literally anything is better than disney hell tho ]

I came here at the end of winter last year. It as milder than this year.

[Which is to say her friend didn't freeze that much.]
