[ Hello, Johto, you've received another new face! ... Er, one that looks pretty bewildered and more concerned than anything. She's not even aware that the Azurill she'd received is filming her, but Aqua does what Aqua does best: She gets information. Aqua makes her way around the town, doing her best to gather information. All the while, the Azurill is filming her... though, honestly, the camera's a little shaky. Um. More than "a little" shaky, because she's holding the camera with her feet.

... That sure is a thing that's happening. But she's trying, and that's what matters.

Several minutes pass before Aqua realizes her Azurill is filming her. ]

Oh! [ She kneels down next to the little one, smiling fondly (somehow, she notes to herself, because she's still getting used to the whole "not being trapped in the realm of darkness" thing). It's hard not to be in good spirits with such a cute critter, after all. ]

Can everyone see this? I've never encountered a device like this, but it doesn't seem too difficult to work.

Hello. My name is Aqua, and I've just arrived. [ ... ] I don't suppose I could easily find some sort of food for my friend, here. She does seem very hungry.

[ And sure enough, yup, that's the sound of the Azurill's tummy growling. At least she looks embarrassed about it. ]

It's remarkable. I hadn't expected her to use her feet in such a way.

[ The Azurill looks proud of herself. ]

This sort of thing happens often, then? They just turn the Pokegears when they want to?

It depends. If you have a relatively calm, well-behaved bunch, then they might not see fit to get into a bit of mischief.

[Elsa's lucked out there, at least.]

But it's not a bad thing! All they want is to play, and to talk to people... I can't honestly blame them for that.

As cute as she is, I don't think it'll be difficult for her to find people to befriend.

Or other Pokémon.

I have to wonder if that's one reason why we're given these creatures. I know they're supposed to protect us, but at the same time... they've helped in many other ways, too.

Maybe one of their goals is to help us meet people.

I imagine that helps even the shyest of people... especially if they end up causing any sort of mischief, if they're the type to do that.

[ Read: She thinks you have experience with that. ]

[Elsa lets out a laugh.]

Oh, yes. I've been lucky with my bunch, but I have to say, I wouldn't have even thought to begin using this device if it wasn't for my original partner, Snowball. She turned it on while I was still in a panic, and that's how I was able to contact so many people on my first day.

[ Huh. ]

Well, we can at least count on them to keep their heads, even when we can't.

[Elsa laughs at that.]

What a strange place this is, that the wildlife is more level-headed than the people here.

You seem quite calm, though! Considering you've only just arrived.

[ ABOUT THAT... She's mostly just ??? but she's been through a lot worse... not that she's about to tell that to someone who's practically a stranger. So... ]

Thank you? [ A laugh--she hadn't really thought much about that. ] There are worse situations to be in--and Bubbles has helped calm me considerably.

Very true. At least these lands are peaceful.

I still don't appreciate being trapped away from home very much, but at least we're given the means to enjoy ourselves.

We do seem to have been given the chance and resources to be comfortable, here. Our Pokemon seem to be a part of that.
